Cooks Wanted Of Any Age
For The Cooking With Maple Contest

Do you make scrumptious treats using pure maple sugar or pure maple syrup as an ingredient?

Then we want you! The annual Maple Sugar Festival will award prizes in each award winning item in all eight categories.

Second &third prizes, gift certificates & other goodies will also be awarded. Winners from 2005 contest

Maple Products Categories

100% Maple Syrup (8 oz. or more in a clear jar)

Maple Cream (8 oz. or more in a clear jar)

Maple Sugar (1/2 lb. or more in a clear jar)

Maple Cake or Candy (1/2 lb.or more, boxed)

"Cooking With Maple"

Desserts (custards, souffle, fruit dishes, etc.)

Baked Goods (Cookies, Cakes, Muffins: 5 servings)

Main Dishes (Beans, Vegetables, Ham, etc.)

Sweet or Spicy (Sauces, Glaze, etc.)

How to Enter the 2009 Contest:

At least 50% of the sweetener used in the recipes must be pure maple.

To enter bring your creation to the Whitingham school, on Rt. 100, on Saturday, March 29 between 8 am and noon.

Use non-returnable dishes, clear jars or other containers.

An envelope must be attached to each entry with the recipe category printed on the front. Inside give you name, address and phone number plus the full recipe.

Judging will take place March 28, from 1:30 - 3:30pm.
