*Maple Wheat Bread* Patience Merriman
1 Tbsp. butter 3 Tbsp. maple syrup 1 cup water 1/4 cup half & half 1 egg 3 cups unbleached flour 1/4 cup wheat germ 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds 1/4 cup sunflower seeds 3/4 Tbsp. vital wheat glut er 1 Tbs. salt 1 Tbsp. yeast
Mix all and knead for 30 min. let rise 2 hours, punch down. let rise another hour, or more till doubled again. punch down and shape (use flour to handle sticky dough). Place in buttered loaf pan, let rise till just over top of pan (30-50 min) and bake in 400' preheated oven. use a foil tent if top burns too quickly. (If desired, brush bread top with butter before baking, I Always Do )
