| The
Stevens's family sugarhouse was built in 1999 with old
time
tradition. Located not far off the beaten path of Route 100 you'll
fine an old time sugaring operation where sap is boiled into syrup
in a 3 foot by 10 foot drop flue Leader evaporator. It has a wood
fired arch with open pans front and back for easy viewing. The
Stevens family set
about 400 taps which are mostly buckets and the remainder with tubing.
Some of their buckets are set around the sugarhouse and the remainder
are set across town at Pleasant Valley Farm where they have sugared
for many years before building their own sugarhouse at home. Come
visit
the Stevens's sugarhouse and you'll immediately be taken in by the
wonderful scent of maple syrup being made. Enjoy a sample of syrup
and of their homeade maple coated nuts.
